Karl Benton, plays piano and keyboards in KANTUTA. Karl has been involved in music production and writing for fifteen years within New Zealand, and he also performs with Union, one of New Zealand�s top cover bands. Karl is the contract musical director for Edge Creative (a company that produces corporate events with a creative edge). He has taught songwriting and band coaching at Excel Performing Arts Academy in Auckland 2001-2002 also producing music for TV shows such as What Now and The Wannabes 2003-2006, as well as having written and published songs for artists such as K-Lee, Moana Jackson and DJ Jason Eli of Groovadelica Records. Karl is currently studying a jazz program at Auckland University, and finding the experience of playing Latin music with Kantuta hugely stimulating and great fun! To contact: Karl Benton. |
